When we talk about rock and roll or metal metal we are talking about a long history of melodies and strong words, a long history of the groups that have contributed to molding our musical taste since the seventies and eighties to the present day.

And has been steadfast in the face of changes and waves of new types of music throughout history, maintaining the authenticity and the tone of music, has not lost its identity in front of the popularity and spread of hip-hop, pop and other modern times. She still keeps her audience feeling nostalgic when they hear her.

I was not born in the seventies and did not exist in that golden musical era, but it is not strange to me. I fell in love with this music at the age of nine. Of course, I started to hear greats like Metallica, Ice Earth, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix and Van Halen. Today I liked to talk about the generation of young people who create these beautiful tunes that make us into a musical past that we did not have the chance to live in.

1- Bring Me the Horizon

The band was founded in 2004 in Britain, influenced by Death Metal, Grindcore and Emo, and inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Consisting of lead singer Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, Curtis Ward, bassist Matt Kean and drummer Matt Nicholls. They first started their own production company Thirty Days of Night, and released their first album in 2005, “This Is the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For.

The controversial fourth album, Sempiternal, won third place in the UK in 2013 and ran for Kerrang! Award for Best Album, and their latest album “That’s the Spirit” formed a transition point in the band’s tendency towards the metalcore rather than the melody.

The best songs of this album are Happy Song

2– Epica

Speaking of symphonic metal we have to mention the Netherlands and the great musicians we have given, in the world of great ideas and high standards, excellence and creativity. The Epica, founded in 2002 by Mark Jansen, quickly attracted public interest in their materials Acoustic Sound by 2003 with the release of their first album The Phantom Agony.

With the dynamic sound that achieved a great balance between the orchestra and the heavy metal, Epica showed the contrast between Simone Simons, the high-level Mizo-Soprano and the high-class guitarist Mark Delahaye, and the strikes of Isaac Delahaye Unstoppable, and complex arrangements of the co-captain of the complex Coen Janssen, all supported by the noisy drums of Ariën van Weesenbeek, and the voice of Rob van der Loo on the bus.

Their fifth album, Requiem for the Indifferent, won their first place in the UK and the United States in 2012. The latest Holographic Principle, released in 2016, is the most ambitious to date, Simmons said.

One of their best works is Storm the Sorrow

3-Bullet for my valentine

Founded in 2003, inspired by metal bands in the 1980s inspired by punk metal, the band performed melodic and dark melody songs for the new millennium. The band consists of childhood friends, guitarists Matthew Tuck, Michael Padget, bassist Jason James and drummer Michael Thomas.

They released their first album in 2004, The Poison, and a year later they won the Best British Newcomer Award in Britain. In 2008, Scream Aim Fire was featured in the top 10 albums in several countries.

Their last album, Venom, was released in the summer of 2015, with many distinctive songs and powerful melodies such as the song with the same title.

4- Five Finger Death Punch

One of the most successful groove metal teams in the present era. Since its establishment in 2005, it has maintained a permanent status on the list of the best songs. The band currently consists of guitarists Zoltan Bathory, Jason Hook, lead singer Ivan Moody, bassist Chris Kael and drummer Jeremy Spencer. The band’s name was inspired by The Five Fingers of Death, a martial arts genre.

They released their first album in 2007, Way of the Fist, followed by War Is the Answer in 2009. After returning from the tours, they realized that they had a lot of new raw material to offer, ending with the album The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Right Side of Hell, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 in the summer of 2013.

In the summer of 2014 they released the video for Wrong Side of Heaven, a powerful expression of the suffering of veterans suffering from PTSD, depression and other psychological problems and their disregard by everyone.

Their latest album titled Entitled Got Your Six was launched in 2015 after many tours around the world.

And their distinguished songs I Apologize, showing the power of Ivan Moody and the greatness of Jason Hook’s solo performance.

These teams have proved that behind the dark clothes and exotic tattoos, and behind the hustle of music, there is a story told with strong words and sometimes aggressive and serene and calm at times.

There are many new emerging teams, and I came here to mention who I think they are most distinguished right now, of course the list goes on longer.

If the rock and roll world is still strange to you, this list will be the beginning of a deep dive and explore its diverse patterns, up to the original melodies of the greats of the last century.
