Under the burning sun of Iraq and the bullets, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and John Cena team up to survive the attack of a sniper.
After a first trailer, four months ago, here are some new images of Doug Liman’s The Wall. The director of Edge of Tomorrow gathers on his new battlefield Aaron Taylor-Johnson (preview in Kick-Ass, Savages and the last Avengers), wrestler John Cena and Briton Laith Nakli.
This psychological thriller takes place in the desert and opposes an Iraqi sniper to two American soldiers hidden behind a crumbling wall. John Cena, whom one is accustomed to see full of life, plays a man ashore, between life and death.
One Nicholas Irving, a former sniper, also participated in the project, on the other side of the camera, as a technical advisor. The soldier nicknamed “The Reaper” served in Afghanistan and reported his experience in Team Reaper: 33 Kills … 4 months and The Reaper: Autobiography of One of the Deadliest Special Ops Snipers. This “personality middle” would work even now for television, on a mini-series on his journey. The Wall looks very promising with his nervous violence and his panting suspense.
