On this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Chainsmokers have made yet another go at history and matched a couple legendary acts in the process. Their Coldplay collaboration “Something Just Like This” has debuted at No. 5, giving the duo three songs simultaneously charting in the Top 10. Three hits in the Top 10 isn’t a new record, but it’s fancy bragging rights that put Drew Taggart and Alex Pall in some good company. They now join the Beatles and the Bee Gees as the only duos or groups to have at least three Top 10s at the same time. Of course, the Beatles went on to occupy the entire Top 5 at peak Beatlemania, so the Chainsmokers still have a a couple more weeks to crank out a couple more hits and really get on their level. But it hasn’t been since the Bee Gees’s Saturday Night Fever in 1978 that a duo or group had this many songs in the Top 10.
